KBS provides school-based behavior analytic services to multiple districts throughout the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Wapakoneta areas. Typically, this includes completing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and having our team of BCBAs provide training to staff implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). We also provide highly trained behavior technicians to support students and the implementation of BIPs.
We can support districts on a student-by-student basis as needed, or with classroom-wide plans. Each district we support is unique, and we work with each district team to provide tailored programs.

Most of the students seen by Key Behavior have an Autism diagnosis. However, in the school setting, we can work with kids across any disability category. We’ve worked with students categorized as having Down Syndrome, Autism, TBI, ID, OHI, ED, and other categories. We’ve worked with students at alternative placements, self-contained classrooms, and in general education and inclusion environments.

We’ve worked with schools and their students at their preschool program, and through high school and with “super seniors”.

Typically in the school setting, the school district pays for service in the large majority of situations. In some circumstances, if parents request, their private insurance will provide coverage for ABA therapy in the school environment.

Often in the school setting, ABA will have goals geared towards increasing independence in the classroom and school environment. Key Behavior will consult with the district and parents on practical and effective behavioral interventions and help identify the Least Restrictive Environment needed for student success. Based on the LRE, the interventions will be tailored to the environment to promote the success of the student and team.
